Man Who Killed Little Brother Slit Cellmates Throat With Playing CardPHOENIX, AZ — Andrew Ward, the man accused of murdering his little brother to death because he felt like it,  has now been accused of murdering his cellmate.

Last month I reported on 27-year-old Andrew Ward after he was arrested and accused of stabbing his 12-year-old half brother to death for no reason other than he “just felt like killing.”

For the last three weeks, Ward has been in custody at Maricopa County jail while awaiting his trial. His cellmate during this time was 33-year-old Douglas Walker, who was serving a few years for armed robbery.

On Wednesday night, inmates alerted guards that the two men were fighting. When they made their way inside the two men’s cell, officials would find Walker dead after Ward turned his head into a bit of psychotic performance art.

According to officials, Ward used a golf pencil to stab Walker in the eyes, used a playing card to slit Walker’s throat, smeared peanut butter on his head and shoved a plastic bag down Walker’s throat.

Ward readily admitted to killing Walker, stating he wasn’t the least bit remorseful about it. He was subsequently re-arrested and charged with suspicion of first-degree murder

When Sheriff Joe Arpaio was asked why a violent man like Ward would have been placed with another inmate, he had a very legitimate reason:

“We have about 400 alleged murderers in our jails,” the sheriff said. “Do you think I have room to give every alleged murderer a private room? No.”
