ESTACADA, OR – Police say a man walked into a grocery store while holding a knife in one hand and a severed head in another before stabbing an employee.
The man, who has not been identified, left his car running in the parking lot of Harvest Market on Sunday afternoon before walking into the store.
He was reportedly covered in blood, holding a knife, and carrying a woman’s decapitated head. Once inside the store, the man stabbed a store employee.
Other employees tackled the man and were able to contain him at the scene until police arrived. The suspect was taken into custody before being transported to the hospital.
A short time later, someone called 911 to report finding a dead woman inside a home located about 20 miles south of the stabbing, in Colton.
Police have released little details about that death, but are saying the decapitated head the man was carrying did belong to the body of the dead woman.
The wounded employee was flown to a hospital but his condition is unknown. Police have also not revealed if the suspect and employee knew each other.
Personally, it sounds like the end result of some kind of love triangle. I mean, we just had a guy set himself on fire in front of his ex so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
