ENGLAND – A 19-year-old woman has been sentenced to over a decade in jail after painting her face like a clown and stabbing her boyfriend five times during sex.
The incident happened last year after 19-year-old Zoe Adams and her 17-year-old boyfriend, Kieran Bewick, had smoked some weed and drank some vodka.
Bewick felt sick and decided to lay down in Adam’s bed. She followed him after downing a few more shots of vodka and was now wearing clown makeup.
“She walked in with her hands behind her back and asked: ‘Does this scare you?’,” Bewick would later tell police. “She had diamond eyes, and a Joker mouth, with red lipstick on the lips, and she had her hands behind her back. She had a weird smirk on her face.”
Adams asked Bewick if she could tie him up in bed, to which Bewick declined. So Adams told him to at least put a pillow over his face because the sex would be kinkier.
After Bewick covered his face with a pillow Adams stabbed Bewick in the chest with a 10-inch knife.
“I did not feel pain, but I felt the bleeding,” he told police. “I felt my lung pop and squirt blood.”
Clad only in underwear and socks, Bewick began making his way out of the house to look for help. As he passed through the kitchen he found Adams, who was naked and still holding the knife.
“Why?” Bewick asked her. Reportedly, Adams simply shrugged her shoulders.
Bewick managed to get help and was taken to the hospital for a collapsed lung and injuries to his chest, arm, thigh, and hand.
During the resulting trial, it was revealed that Adams was fascinated with gore and murder videos. She had also sent some seemingly prophetic text message explaining to Bewick that her sexual fantasy was a male tied up and used as a human sacrifice.
Adams claimed she did not remember everything about that night but said she stabbed Bewick because she overreacted to him kissing her neck.
Judge James Adkin didn’t buy it, calling her actions “cruel and sadistic” before sentencing Adams, the mother of a little girl, to 11 years in jail.
“You had decided to cause serious harm to Mr. Bewick during sex,” said Judge Adkin. “I am sure that by that time you had already become disinhibited by drink and drugs and the more sadistic side of your personality had come to dominate.”
